Department Introduction
Cardiovascular internal medicine is the largest heart disease diagnosis and treatment center in Western Shandong and its surrounding areas. It admits more than 9000 patients annually. is the specialized subject, medicine and health care in shandong province characteristics of shandong taishan scholar positions, the state food and drug supervision and administration of drug clinical trial institution unit, the Chinese medical doctor association member unit, the grass-roots work cardiovascular doctors training demonstration center in China, the first Chinese af center construction unit, the first Chinese heart center construction unit. The department now has 14 chief physicians, 8 associate chief physicians and 25 attending physicians. There are 10 medical doctors and 29 medical masters. There are 10 people holding positions of member or above of national or provincial professional committee, 10 supervisors of doctoral and master students, and 5 top professional and technical talents of municipal level.
The department of cardiology is equipped with special cardiac examination room (including cardiac ultrasound room and movable plate), digital catheter room, CCU and four wards (4B, 5B, 6B and 6A), with 220 beds actually open. There are 2 Philips angiograph, 1 Siemens angiograph, 2 multi-conductive physiology instruments, 2 three-dimensional electric mapping instruments, 2 IABP, 1 flow reserve fraction detector, 1 intracoronary ultrasound, 1 coronary rotating mill. There are 2 invasive ventilators and 2 non-invasive ventilators. There are 7 multi-channel synchronous electrocardiograms and more than 100 monitors.
At present, the Department has five sub-specialties: coronary heart disease specialty, electrophysiology and pacing specialty, critical heart disease and heart failure specialty, hypertension and cardiac rehabilitation specialty, structural heart disease specialty and so on. Mainly for hypertension, coronary heart disease, congenital heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, cardiomyopathy, pericardiopathy, macroangiopathy and various arrhythmias, heart failure and other modern medical diagnosis and treatment. In recent years, interventional therapy for complex and high-risk coronary heart disease, radiofrequency ablation for complex and rapid arrhythmia, ICD pacemaker implantation for prevention of sudden death, cardiac resynchronization therapy for severe congestive heart failure (CRT-D), chemical ablation for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, interventional therapy for peripheral arterial diseases and combined interventional therapy for cardiovascular diseases (such as myocardial infarction), Cardiovascular interventional techniques such as emergency stenting and ventricular septal occlusion, one-stop interventional therapy for thoracic aortic aneurysm with acute coronary syndrome, etc.have been carried out. Since 1996, more than 13,000 cases of selective coronary angiography have been completed, and the first case of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) was carried out in 1998. So far, more than 8,000 cases have been completed, with a total success rate of 99%. More than 2000 cases of arrhythmia and various permanent pacemaker implantation were treated by radiofrequency catheter ablation. Its success rate, low recurrence rate and low complication rate are all in the leading level in the province.
The Department of Cardiology actively carries out foreign exchanges and cooperation, and has established close cooperation with Charleste University in Australia and Yonsei University in Korea. Professor Wang Lexin, director of cardiovascular disease research center of Charleste University in Australia, regularly comes to the hospital every year for scientific research, academic lectures and consultation.
The department of cardiology is characterized by interventional therapy for severe and complicated coronary heart disease, focusing on clinical practical technology innovation and basic research application. It is committed to the comprehensive development of medical education and research. It is a master's training unit of Shandong University Medical College, Qingdao University Medical College and Taishan Medical College, with a total of more than 40 postgraduates trained. It has won 2 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, participated in 3 National "11th Five-Year Plan" medical research projects, and undertook 21 provincial and Municipal Research projects, including 1 second prize of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award, 3 third prize of provincial Science and Technology Progress, and 26 first, second and third prizes of Liaocheng Science and Technology Progress. It has edited and published 8 monographs and over 100 papers in the past five years, including more than 30 SCI papers.
